I had the honor of interviewing Dr. Robinson at his home at length. This is how it happened. Dr. Robinson desired to record a cd so he contacted Gamble and Huff at Philadelphia International Records. Upon finishing the project Dr. Robinson wasn't quite satisfied with the outcome. Somehow, he ran into my studio contact information. Him and his wife came to my studio and asked me if I could add the finishing touches to the recordings. Afterward he was ecstatic with the results and our friendship was born. He invited me to his home to interview him. My only regret is that I wasn't able to get to know Dr. Robinson better.
